According to the Arizona Department of Transportation 2,760 semi-truck (with or without trailer) accidents occurred in 2022. The substantial size of these vehicles frequently results in severe injuries and extensive property damage, especially for occupants of smaller passenger vehicles on state roads. In total, there were 152 fatal crashes involving larger trucks in 2022, and thousands more resulted in injuries to drivers or passengers.
